FIFA World Cup 2010 Closing Ceremony

One of these days before I will leave this earth…I WILL GO TO A WORLD CUP Tournament! At first, I was wishing for the Olympics, but after seeing the entire time of the World Cup, I think I would definitely go see FIFA first and then the Olympics ;-).

Spain Wins the FIFA 2010!

Yes! Never in my mind I doubted Spain’s capability. They were my team of choice from the beginning. Now that it all materialized, especially being their first World Cup appearance and makes it to the top? It was just simply amazing! I am very happy and proud to be Spain’s fan ;-). Now if I can only find out where majority of the players play as in their Clubs, I would prolly watch their games on there too. But we’ll see…I think I will stay as a ManU fan :-).

I was pretty disappointed that Brazil got eliminated. But then again, just seeing how well each players played, to me, they already are winners. Just like how the U.S. Team was, eventhough they only made it to the Round of 16.

Pele’s determination really paid off! What an inspiration!

afootballreport:

“1284” - A short film about Pelé, at the age of 69, trying to score the final goal of his career with Brazil in a match against Argentina. Pele, of course, scored 1283 goals in his career, more than any other professional.

Although the legend played with the New York Cosmos, Pelé is loved by so many Brazilians because he chose to play in Brazil with Santos for most of his career rather than with a European club like so many South Americans do in modern football. This 5 minute tribute shows a unique lens on the passion a player can have for his country. Pelé loves Brazil, but more importantly he loves the beautiful game. But, as a Brazilian, don’t those go together wonderfully? I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
